Hello,

I have a X250 and the drivers door actuator has broken and needs replacing.

Only issue is there seems to be two types - one with and one without super locking. Don't have fob, which means I can't check if the van can superlock or not. No part numbers on the lock in there (assume its a cheap knock off part).

So if I buy a lock with super locking capability, will it still work as a normal lock if my van isn't a super lock enable van? Equally, what about the other way around (Accepting with no fob I'm not super locking anyway!)

Not sure if it helps, but the current lock has two motors in, one seems to drive the lock/unlock function is the other a dead lock actuator, as I'm not sure what the second motors would be for otherwise?

Any thoughts gratefully received!

All vans built specifically for the UK market and sold through the dealer network should have two-stage locking (deadlocks). Vans built for mainland Europe including motorhome chassis imported directly from Italy to UK coachbuilders normally only have single stage locking unless specifically ordered with deadlocks at cost.

I would imagine either would work as a replacement if you never activate deadlocks, which can only be achieved with the remote fob, since locking a van with deadlocks doesn't activate the deadlocks anyway if it is locked with a key in the lock cylinder or with a single press on the remote.
