Rear doors are making a helluva noise on opening /closing

Tried applying white grease to the flat bar entering the door skin, as suggested but still no solution.

Any suggestions?

Have you applied grease to the hinges too?

I have greased every visible moving part over a period of time.

White grease, WD 40, normal oil.

No difference.

Only visible scraping is on the flat bars going into the door skin.

Greased them like grease was going out of fashion.

What you describe suggests body damage to me (have the doors been dented/damaged?) you can try silicon lubricant :yum: that failing - reseating door hinges might be the way to go (there’s just 2 on the back door i think: top and bottom – they are adjustable both from/on the door side as well as car main body (y))

Be careful with silicon! It’s been known to damage paint

my front drivers door makes a clicking noise when open it :S sounds like somthings snapping :(

Bruce, used to happen to my Tempra's, now its the same on my new (2003) stilo, easy to fix just use waterproof grease for boat wheel bearings, apply and open and shut the door about 15 times and all noise is gone, just done it today on mine, WD40 never works for this, David

Yep. Happens twice every winter on my rear doors aswell. WD40 with spraystraw (tweak it in the rubber) and heavy duty industrial grease. (y) The sound it a real nightmare, like metal grinding.
