Technical dodgy electrics

Hi all my 2012 qubo has developed an electrics fault, the windows periodically wind down whilst vehicle parked, and now the radio powers itself on whilst parked and locked and wont turn off. Main dealer have looked at it but as no fault codes have done nothing but store for a few days & stare at it.:bang:
Any help greatly recieved.

I had an electric fault on a Toyota but only when it rained (!). Turned out to be a leak on the bottom edge of the windscreen letting water run down a loom bundle and into a junction box. It made the car judder (auto gearbox) then stopped the engine briefly then all reverted to ok except the speedo died. It meant I did possibly 1500 miles with no recorded mileage and guessing my speed from the tacho.

It may be worth looking for damp on the carpet inside. There is a fuse box behind the panel in front of your right knee (STUPID place as you have to dismantle the panel to access it) and if water's getting in there it could be causing a short circuit giving you these window/radio issues.
Other thing to check is that the fuse box behind the battery (engine compartment on the RH side) has its lid on securely to protect against water ingress from water thrown up by the wheels into the engine bay. Again a ridiculous design as you have to know Origami and Ju-Jitsu to be able to winkle the lid out once you've flipped up and removed the +ve battery terminal cover... (who designs these things )

Thank you red van man will check this over weekend, just picked up vehicle from main dealer where it was purchased from, it is in the 3rd year of warranty but fiat and st leonards motors wont pay for investigation on electrics they wont me to pay for fault finding. I have just forwarded avideo of the problems in action for them to look at and think wisely wnile I consider legal action.

Sounds about right I had to take mine to a dealer after I bought it for strut bearings which was covered but the ac pipe that had failed due to rubbing through on its brackets . When I asked what was covered under the 3rd year warranty I was informed basically the engine and a few other bits !!

checked vehicle over today no leak into car and fuse box under dash ok . Lifted bonnet and fuse/relay box cover on but has small gap around the top which could allow water in as on a tilt . have insulated with tape any gaps to help stop moisture entering hope this cures strange fault. dealer didnt even think of this? just plugged into computer which said No.

On the peugeot bipper ( which is basically the same as a Qubo ) there is a known issue with the front windows opening. If you hold the lock button on the key fob down for 5 to 10 seconds the front window both open. Even if the car is locked

Unfortunately I do not think there is anyway to turn this feature off.

Its a design feature....to open the windows from outside before entering the car on hot/sunny day......it also operates in reverse, i.e., windows open when leaving the car hold the close button on the fob in and the windows will close. I find it really useful when on a hot day I get out of the car forgetting to close the windows..................

I would be happy to call it a design feature if the only worked then the car was unlocked, but as you can unintentional open the window while the car is locked, I think is is probably more accurate to call it a security flaw. On at least a couple of occasions I've come out in the morning only to discover the windows had been open all night.

It would be fine if I could the feature off, or if the key fob were designed with recessed buttons.

Funny enough, most Vauxhall / ford forums have the same problems, you can buy a cover for the key, however difficult to find. Just have to remember not to leave keys in your trouser pockets when you sit down!
