I don't think we are comparing apples with apples.
If there were a modern b then I think it would be fair to compare the two otherwise the only way to do a like for like comparison is to compare the mk1 MX-5 with the MK1 b's. Its a debate that either car could win because at the end of the day it comes down to personal taste, for me the b would take some beating however I am sure that the same would be true of an MX-5 driver..................................................................(although we know they would be wrong!)

I know it's been said before but the way I feel is that I'm proud to have a car that is so pretty and a rare sight on the road. I still can't believe its mine and can't imagine having the same feeling about the ubiquitous mx5 however nice it is to drive. Maybe it is a 'type' that the car attracts. Personally I can't ever imagine having a common car again and if I did change (not that I will!) it would be for an older classic car.

I have to agree, I am not planning on replacing the b but if I did it would be for either one of these;

And they suffer badly from the tin worm...so you'd get expert at replacing metal.
Yup, outriggers last about 5 years!! For a fiberglass car they are plagued by chassis rust.....

well lee if it is tvr it has to be a purple chimera when you get one send lrb down here i will look after her until you get bored of the flat battery you will always have on the tvr !!!!
I think I will have a Tiv at some point in the future but won't be sacraficing the b for it!!
