Hi all, had my trusty doblo was broken into recently the would be thief gaind entry by levering back the door skin under the driver door handel and seems to be to easily done. Nothing was stolen because there was nothing to steal :D

I am fitting a Thatchem alarm as a result but I want to repair the damage to the door skin which fortunately is not to serious. Trouble is I am not to sure how to remove the door handel my only manual is a bad CD I find a nightmare to use, Oh for a Haynes manual (y)
It would appear you can remove the handel from the outside of the door  by removing screws from the door lock at the edge of the door and remove a shear bolt at the front outside door surface anyone confirm this be glad of some help guys as this sounds to easy to be true.

Hey. Sorry to hear about what happened, glad nothing was stolen though! The only thing I could suggest in doing is to remove some of the interior door trim so that you can have a look at the situation from the inside, and this may well be easier than trying to do it from the outside. I'm not sure how you'd remove the trim though, funnily enough I'm going to buy a manual off eBay today I just hope I don't get one that's too shoddy.

I'm sure someone else will come along and help you better :) let us know how you get on!

You prise off the square cap at the front of the outside door handle to get at the shear bolt but I don't know how you undo it. The manual shows it being hit with a hammer and punch but it talks about unscrewing it, not breaking it

Wow, somebody actually broke into a doblo !!!! I assumed that having a car shaped like a fridge freezer would deter any self respecting would be thief !!
Perhaps he used his white stick to prise that panel open.

But i did read somewhere that hardly any Doblos have been stolen in the UK, which is good for us Doblo owners.

Hope you got that handle sorted out olbod

I work on the assumption that no self-respecting chav (is that an oxymoron?) would be seen dead in a dobbie, hence the low insurance group.
