Hey there i am looking at purchasing an Ecotek valve because apparently it increases fuel economy and throttle response. It attaches to or near to the inlet manifold. Do they work and has anyone got one?

My brother has one on his Mk2 Golf, and he reckons he saw a slight difference but (and here's where I admit that I don't listen to everything he says) I'm sure he mentioned that there were drawbacks to having it but I can't remember what they were off the top of my head.
I'm still tempted to fit on to my Sei but will keep an eye on this thread and see what others say.

is there anything that will raise economy then? other then driving slow lol
Full service. Check tyre pressures and adjust. Take all unnecessary stuff out of the car.
Do you have an induction kit like a K&N? If so replace it with the standard airbox or get a GSR.

Surely a GSR will use more fuel?
Only when driving hard, I've found that my fuel economy is better when driving normally with a GSR.
