I did a cam belt change two weeks ago without any tools. It's easy... just count the teeth on the belt. Make some marks with tip ex before you take the old one off - one blob on a tooth of the camshaft pully and corresponding bit of belt, and two blobs on one tooth of the crankshaft pully and again on belt, take belt off, make identical marks on new belt - count the teeth!
Put new belt on, tighten tensioner, done. Just don't make any mistakes, or let the belt slip during tightening, as then you'll need the tools etc to find out what the hell you did wrong!
