Hi all,

Replaced the disk brakes and pads recently. Today took the car for it's first drive since and there is still a grinding sound especially when slightly turning the wheel to the right.

Any ideas what this could be? Perhaps it is just because they are new?

Or even debris stuck between disc & hub? Causing them to run off centre & catch the pad intermittently...

Rust takes about 5 mins to form on discs even just after you washed the car lol!

I've taken the pads out and it's still making the noise, I've jacked front up, taken wheels off to see whats going on and it seems to be rubbing against something - enough sometimes to stop the axle turning.... only on one side though (the passenger side).

Fixed it! Was just a piece of metal slightly touching one of the disk brakes... Thanks again for your help

Splash shield? Thin metal bit behind the hub?

Yes I think that was it, perhaps it had bent by a couple of millimetres and was touching the disc.
