Technical Dimensions of OEM CD player cradle?

Hi,

Could somebody with an Original CD player measure the width and height of the cradle/cage that the radio sits in?

Would be much appreciated! I want to check if my cassette unit will fit in it.

surely you are looking at either a standard DIN or double DIN with facia?

Nooo.. I mean the metal cage that the radio slot into? The one screwed to the dash. The cassette cage differs from the CN+ cage. I've been offered a CD cage, but I'd just like to know if it would fit my Standard Cassette player in it, because the CN+ is slightly too small.

I'd go take a look but I haven't got any removal pins... what exactly are you trying to do, replace an oem unit with your own head unit?

No worries mate, I can only assume every one else is in the same situation I'm replacing my CN+ with an OEM cassette player but the CN+ cage is too small for the cassette. I just want to know if a OEM CD player cage will be big enough as I can get hold of one.

What's up with the CN+? Is it working? You selling? If my OEM CD player was being replaced... if you can hold on till after the turkey, you could maybe measure my cd when we sort out the other stuff if you've got removal pins...

GizmOwin, As far as I know the CD and Tape oem players have the same cage. I will take a look at it later today (that is if I can get the tape player out cause last time was a pain in the arse), and tell you.
I am looking at upgrading to a CN+, so I won't be needing the tape/cd cage but will need a CN+ cage... so in case you're interested in a change let me know. I'm in mid-wales just in case you're near
