Is there any physical difference between the engines/turbo/etc in the 120 and 130 multijet?

In other words: will a remap for my 120 mean that I can get the same hp & torque as remapped 130?

yes they are very different engines (1.9 - 130bhp 8v 1.6 - 120bhp 16v)

the 1.6 actually is has more torque than the 1.9 as standard

Its actually a 1.4 turbo petrol compared to the 1.9 diesel of the M-jet (not sure if M-jet has a turbo). The T-jet is faster but the M-jet will have more torque and a better economy

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding...I mean a 1.9 8v 120 Multijet and a 1.9 8v 130 Multijet

And yes the Multijet does have a turbo.

What are you two talking about? lol

In the S1 GP the 1.9Mjet comes with 2 different maps. A 130bhp one for the sporting and a 120bhp map for the eleganza i think it is. A remap will get the 120version up to normal Mjet remapping levels.

I have the 120 M-jet, as far as I am aware they are exactly the same, just different maps. This engine has appeared in numerous states of tune: 80bhp, 100 bhp, 105 bhp, 115bhp, 120 bhp, 120 bhp etc etc

Just for the record, the Tjet is not faster than the Mjet 130!

Jeez - the confusion.

Just get the 1.6 Diesel Multijet and be done with it. Same performance as the 1.9 (better actually) and better consumption and lower tax. And better resale...;)

The 1.6 is coming soon by the way.

actually your wrong, it was the same block (1.9) but the 80bhp, 100, 105 115 engine had different internals and turbine.

whereas the 120 and 130 just have different maps.

and will all you sporting girlies shut up, the 1.4 8v is the best engine in the GP :p(y)

LOL, you guys crack me up here at work!
M-JET Rules. It eats up the asphalt and spits it in the T-JET's face!

The 1.2 with 17" is the best!!

Oi! Dont start up that old argument again, peace now reigns between MJetters and TJetters!
