I called the dealer this morning, the sales manager told me the car shipment will dock on 29 May... Not sure if that's true

29 May? It's June already ...cars have arrived in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney as far as I know.
Can you double check that info?

I'm overseas at the moment - actually in Italy. My car is at the dealer and ready for collection. Call the dealer it's either here or it isn't - March cars have landed... Perhaps the dealer is stalling - I waited 9 months ... Ask for a definite collection date.

I rang them up yesterday they told me it has docked and need to go through compliance check. .... And they will deliver prob end of this month

Hi all.
I am waiting for delivery of my new 500S convertible 105hp Twinair. I ordered it on 28 march and have heard it has been built and is awaiting shipping. Any ideas when I should get it?
The dealer is being helpful but can't give a firm date.
How long is normal?

We have posted this elsewhere on the forum, but we ordered ours in May 2013, that is 2013. At the point we were told that a car like ours would be coming over to Australia in August 2013. It did not arrive. Told that the car was built and would be delivered Nov 2013. The date came and went and December 2013 was suggested. Car was lost at the port or holding company and we heard nothing until Jan 2014. They had ordered the wrong car when we went to inspect it. Told they would reorder a March build for delivery May/June...heard today - 24 July 2014 boat expected mid September 2014 expect delivery 14 days later or 16 months after paying the deposit. We wait with baited breath, but not expecting anything...

You are very patient. No matter what concessions were offered I'd have told them to to shove it by this time. In fact I did so after six month's of 'stories' by a LR dealer prior to buying the Fiat.

No dealer could have got the car quicker, after the first mistake so we may as we'll stick with the original and enjoy the discount, around $5,500, around 20%.

Not too bad! The dealer was probably hoping you would walk away - there won't be much margin in that.
