I think you're right, the evidence (at the dealer) would seem to confirm that.
For me, it was a toss up between Chemical Grey and Bolero Red, until I saw a grey one and it looked a bit dull.
My last car was blue, so that was out (although I would have had it if I went for the Active Sport (shame there's not more choice on that model)) and my other half's car is black, so that was a no go, if only because it gets dirty so fast.
I saw a green one at the dealer - very bold, but an acquired taste shall we say. I could have had a metallic light blue but that was a bit insipid. The Rock n' Roll blue is hideous, a real travesty to paint a car like this in that dreary colour. The metallic orange is also a bit... 70's.
I haven't seen one in white, although I think it might actually look quite good, for an hour or so until it has been driven. The Belly Dance sand is for OAP's only.
So far no Sportings spotted, so no orange or bright red. I'm constantly scanning the road to see another one, but no joy yet!
