A few weeks ago I had the delightful experience of a deer jumping a hedge and landing just in fro.t of my car. The deer was cartwheeled across to opposite side of the road and I was left with a big hole in the front of my car. https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=463340
The car was considered uneconomic to repair, but it's the devil I know so I've bought it back for fixing with used parts.
Suspension arms are now done. They didn't cause the accident but were due for replacing. They waited until I'd decided what to do over the insurance claim. I got a used ordinary Panda front bumper along with radiator frame/slam panel and a pair of headlights off eBay. I'll fit a 100HP bumper when one turns up at the right price.
(1) The radiator frame can be removed without disconnecting the rads. Very handy. My water rad is fine (handy as they cost £megabux) but the aircon rad is badly dented and will have to be changed another day.
(2) The bumper has two screws under each front wing so the wheel arch liners have to come out. I For ease of access, I jacked it up and removed the front wheels.
(3) Wheel spats and chin spoiler can be transferred to the new bumper. Another job for another day.
Other than that it's an easy job, though quite time consuming as you have to check what's going on and screws are often tight/rusty/wrong ones.
All it needs now is some paint to cover the baby blue bumper until a pukka 100HP bumper turns up.
