The LED daytime running lights are that bright, I have now unintentionally driven home twice, in the dark, with just the daytime running lights on.

That included a section of road with no street lights and no one flashed me to put my lights on.

When the lights are on there is a green light showing that they are on in the dash.....

The green light is obscured by driving at 30mph. There is also a light symbol that appears top left of the centre display.

But I still managed to miss that and drive home. I did it in my old Tipo as well, which I put down to the bright digital dash being on all of the time.

Hopefully it is a habit I will soon lose.

Or leave it set to auto lights?

I've done that too!

I don't have the dash really bright at night, so that means its extra brightness makes me notice if I forgot the lights. I think all cars with a permanently lit dash should have auto lights

And there should be a sticker that says auto lights don't work in poor visibility!

Yes, there's a green light, as you say, is obscured at around 30MPH, which is poor design.

A very good design on the Tipo and its not on that many other cars, is that the rear lights are on with the DRLs.

So its not too much to get worried about:):)

Last night I parked in front of the house and a wall and a window showing a reflection of the car. Flicking between daytime lights and dipped beam, there really is not much difference. Use main beam and there is a clear difference.
