I have an a Fiat Doblo 2.0 Multijet Eleganza 2010, with an intermittent fault SOMEWHERE.
No rhyme or reason the ABS Light, Hill Start and Stop and Start failure lights come on; along with corresponding dashboard message. However when this happens the speedometer fails and i am left with just the RPM dial as guidance.
I've had several mechanics and electrical guys look at it but all are stumped.
The fault has developed further and I now on occasions, after the first set of lights and messages come up I get the engine management light come on, along with dashboard messages ABS Failure, ESP Failure, ASR Failure, Braking System Failure. Please refer to owner manual. When this happens ONLY the engine management light stays on and all other dashboard lights go off and my speedometer starts working again.
I'm to scared to take it to Fiat as i can't afford their prices, I have a very capable father and brother but without knowing what to do next and stuck. I'm due to take a long journey with my children and really don't want to be driving without a speedo or potentially no ABS etc...
I'm begging for help, ideas, similar problems/solutions :worship:

I dont have your car, but similar errors can be put down to a failing battery. Is yours 5-6 years old? Get it thoughly load tested. Volts should be around 12.8v, alternator output 14.4v, iirc.
Cost of s/s battery bad enough, could be worse!

I'd go through it methodically;

1, check power output from battery to a cabin / dash device,

2, scan for the stored fault codes.- may hint at problems location..;)

3, clean main under bonnet earth points

4, double check the engine fusebox for damp ingress

where are you based ??, quite a few on here use MultiECUScan to read codes / set-up ECU's to factory settings:)

this is not unheard of in the Cars,
look in Grande Punto FAQ's for more background.
