It's not a problem with my engine as far as I can tell, but at some point when dismantling I did get to a stage where the engine seemed to have too much end float, but by then I had loosened quite a few bits and pieces.
It seems that the extra white-metal on the side of the front main-bearing controls the end-play. Is it adjustable/ Is it ever a problem?
