General Corrosion on Roof Bars

Hi all,
I've got the official Fiat roof bars on my stilo but the weather hasn't been kind to them and they're got corrosion on all four ends.

Does anyone know if there is there any way to repair this? Some sort of paint or filler? Appreciate any help!

The aluminium has been exposed to the air and has oxidised. Dismantle the roof bars and get the ends re-powder coated. A DIY paint job will see you in the same situation after next winter.

Will it affect the integrity of them? i.e. My bikes not going to fall off is it? :S

No it wont effect the bars integrity.

Its original finish was power coat.

Mine that I use to mount my CB whip is exactly the same, a little unsightly but nothing to worry about really

Another solution would be to remove the fiat badges and old powder coating then have the aluminium ends polished and lacquered, put the badges back on.
