Technical coolant level dropped

Technical coolant level dropped

Just had a quick look at the coolant level today (car hasn't been driven since yesterday evening) so the engine is stone cold. The coolant level has dropped ever so slightly again with no obvious leaks. I've followed the coolant pipes for pink staining but to no avail.

Could the issue possibly lie with the coolant expansion tank cap? Surely though if the cap was faulty, pink residue would be found on the inside of the cap and possible staining on the expansion tank?

Matt.

This is going to sound odd,but I once had a car that would have its coolant between min and Max, if I topped it up to max it would always get it back down to in between min and Max again but never use a drop more. I have no explanation for it,but your panda may be doing the same.

I'd top it up to max then keep an eye on what it does?

put white kitchen towel under the centre of dashboard.. that's where the heater matrix is..;)

you'll soon see if it's dribbling from there

GUIDE in panda section..

Varesecrazy,

If it was the heater matrix wouldn't we smell the coolant (sweet smell) and experience fogging of the windscreen?

I'll certainly try it though, thanks for your advice. :)

Matt.
