There might be cables rubbing against one of the cooling fans.
Either that or a rotary device (Hard Disk, CD/DVD ROM) is on its way out.

theres nothing hitting the small fan, it sounds like its coming from where the power goes in...

if you've got it plugged in still then yeah. also the capacitors can hold charge for ages.
it's not really dangerous in there, just watch what you poke - don't do like what i did and touch the heatsinks of a running system to see if they got warm or not. that hurt!

I reckon it was the fan, just got to work out why i have 3 screws left over...
there bonus screws, you get them after doing jobs just put them in a special pot called bonus nut bolt washer n screw tubjoecinq said:
