is it possible for me to get a cable allowing me to use my tv as a pc monitor.
I dont have much space in my room so am trying to find a cable, but not having much luck.

you can do it but only if your graphics card supports it, also unless you've got a good lcd tv the picture will be hard to read

on a standard tv the resolution is only something like 576x368 which is way below the resolution the computer outputs (most people are using 1024x768) so you will find it a pain to use as a PC monitor, the quality of text will be quite poor.

many lcd tvs have the blue d-sub connector so they can be used as a monitor, just stick the cable in.

Err maybe a silly question but wouldn't using ur monitor as a TV be a better option. You can pick up tuner cards and USB devices for about £15 (with freeview)

Just do what I did, sell you TV on ebay and buy a 19" flat screen moinitor and surround speakers for ur computer. Its ace for watching DVD's on.

well i finally went to my local Maplin and bought the correct cable. i needed a DVI-D cable, and the picture quality is fantastic.

All i need now though is some speakers
