Technical Compression test improved performance?

This is my Cinq, it has a Punto 75 engine and increased compression ratio. I did a compression test and got the following values;

210, 190, 220, 200 psi (left to right looking under the bonnet) ( I think it should be 265 psi for a 11:1 compression ratio)

I removed the ignition wiring, HT leads, injector wiring and plugs. But when I put them all back suddenly the idle was really smooth and throttle was really nice and responsive and maybe more power as well.

What magic is this?

simple as plugged something that was loose... if bad idle then one of the leads might have been loose either end... most likely... and if you cleaned the plugs well it could have improved the spark...

there is more factors to the pressure the compression test reads than just compression ratio..

I have a feeling its been sat a bit this car so i am not surprised by that really - i'd be inclined to take it all off again and clean all the contact points thoroughly.
