I have just had my multijet serviced @ 12,000 miles @ a cost of £124 which I am quite happy about, but the car was in the garage for 30 hours.
For some reason they couldn't open the bonnet so damaged the front grill trying to open it.
After the service was done they said it needed a new release cable so I couldn't have the car back, but don't worry because it's a common problem especially over winter.
Has any one else had the same problem?

Since January we have had some really cold weather up here (north of the border ), and I have had no probs with the bonner release system.
I would say the Garage is just feeding you a lot of BULL****.
I bet somebody has used a screwdriver to release the bonner and broken the catch.
One other point £124, Fiat state that the Panda is a low Maint. unit. So in other words £124 for a oil and filter change, adjust the brakes, and a quick visual. Hmm, I think I would be kicking ass if I got hit for that amount on a first service. You could do that yourself in 30 mins.:slayer:

I suppose you have to pay £124 for a stamp.

I paid £110 for my first service (at 7000 miles) on my Multijet on Saturday... It is a bit dear for that dealership stamp imo...

But my bonnet release works fine every time...

And since the service, my alarm seems to like my car better in that the doors are automatically locking themselves every time now... :D

While there I had a look at those wheels I really want... :tempt:

It's Dez's first birthday tomorrow and I must say I'm enjoying owning him. We rarely head out of town and usually get 60 miles to the gallon... (y)
