General Clutch Juddering Low Gears

Hi all,
I have a Punto Evo 2011 1.2 petrol manual, 92k miles, Apparent new clutch fitted by previous owner but not confirmed.
The car has suddenly developed juddering when letting the clutch out in 1st\2nd and slightly in 3rd gear. My daughter was driving it and she said when she pressed the clutch down it was fighting back as it was pushed to the floor and there was a click as it reached the floor.
I have since driven it about 5 miles and experienced the juddering problem as above, all gears are available (no crunching or slipping but not pushed it to hard) the clutch feels smooth and the travel / bite point don't feel any different from before. The car has done 5k miles since owning it, with no real signs of an issue, apart from it has always juddered slightly in reverse unless you increase the revs a bit. I have always put this down to it not being aligned correctly when it was replaced previously.

I'm guessing a clutch problem but will check engine mounts 1st

Any help and advise much appreciated in advance.
