Technical Clutch cable Link rod Pivot ( Plastic Quadrant)

I have a problem with my daughters Seicento sporting, the clutch pedal mechanism failed I thought it was the clutch cable but on checking I found it to be ok after dissembling, I then checked the connection to the plastic quadrant and found that the cable connection bore had broken. So tried to source a new quadrant from a main dealer, They could not identify the part only the pedal assembly and cable and wanted £23. Their manual does not show the the quadrant assembly.
Is is it possible to source this as it is only a simple plastic moulding.

As a qualified engineer I have not seen such an abortion to convert LH to RH drive clutch operation and as to access under the dash this is extremely difficult.

Any suggestions ?

Your dealer doesn't know his way round ePer.

Fluffy the Impaler in sunny Derby 01332 345869 will have one (ask for Big Mick), as might Shop4Parts.

Chances are that either the clutch is dying and/or that the operating arm (in the gearbox casing) is partially seized.

It's said to be possible to convert to hydraulic operation using Mk1 Punto parts, but I've never done it.

Thanks for the info,The clutch was replaced last year, I think that the plastic had fatigued and it failed on an extremely cold day ( -7 C)
I am selling it ASAP .

I'd not. In close to 15 years of Cento driving I've never had a quadrant or a cable go.

They're probably (looked after) the best fun/value small car out there.

Hi mate, yep there great arnt they, I've got 2 spare if you cant find one, i think there only £6-7 quid new form my main dealer, however that snapping is normally a symptom, I'll guess that its time to change the clutch, may as well do the caboe while your at it. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE CLUTCH FORK!!! my poor sei spent 6 months in 2 garages because they wouldn't do what I ask them to do and check it.

Very simple reason actually.

Fiat are aware that people will be in denial about clutch changes so this is the enginered 'cheap weak point'.
