Technical Cleaning egr

Want to try and give the egr a bit of clean probably just with the spray type egr cleaners rather then a total one due to how far it's burried on the 1.3

Any one used them and got a any tips on best place to use them on the car?

You are not suggesting they use oven cleaner with the EGR valve on the car are you?
Oven cleaner is highly corrosive and not really suited at all. Not many ovens are made from light alloy castings with precision moving parts. It might just be acceptable for the gas pathway with the EGR off the car if you are carful, don't get it near the actuator and clean it all off. Much easier to use a solvent cleaner designed for the job. Leave the oven cleaner for the oven.

Doubt you be able to spray oven cleaner into the car anywhere near the egr valve on the 500 given where the egr is burried on their engine

Not even sure where the best place to out a purpose design cleaner on this car with access being as poor as it is and having my large hands

We'll attempted to at least remove the bolt from the egr so o could spray into the internal workings got two bolts out but started to strip the third screw rather annoying as I was nearly there very awkward to do
