I am not sure what you are asking ....but the classic panda 5 speed box had the inner tripod joint lubed by the gear box oil ie the inner cv boots retain the gear oil.

The photo you attached appears to fit the above .

Yes that’s what I was thinking but the guy is adamant to sell these to me, it’s a bit tricky as this is in Portugal the pic on the right is my 4 speed shafts as per the gear oil is in boots

are you asking about the gearbox in first picture ?

Or are you asking about driveshafts pictured on yellow striped background?

In your second post with pictures , the first picture with yellow striped background shows drive shafts that definately will not fit classic panda.

What engine is in your panda?

The photo of the engine bay in Portugal does not look like panda to me-though it's hard to tell . Could be cinqucento ??
But your 899 is similar to 993 so the box may well fit. If the flywheel housing to gearbox bell housing bolt pattern is the same and if the clutch is the same and a few other things.

thanks I actually rebuilt a 899 cinco and fitted to my 4 speed with new clutch no problem but I can’t see that the drive shafts he’s trying very hard to sell me look wrong

This is very confusing....
What do you want..

Gear box????

Drive shafts????

Both gearbox and Drive shafts???

The photo you posted of drive shafts on yellow stripes- they will not fit.

sorry I want the gearbox in picture which certainly will fit my engine, but my question is use my drive shafts with wet gaiters or the splined shafts in pictures he’s trying to sell me with great enthusiasm

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know the whole story.

I think you have read already the answer a couple of times but here it is.... the drive shafts pictured WILL NOT FIT
the gearbox pictured. DO NOT get the drive shafts.

Good luck let us know how you get on.

Jack
