A couple of us Midlanders have been talking about doing some 1/4 mile runs to amuse ourselves, even if it amuses no-one else. There is a run-what-you-brung day on 13th June that we can all meet up at and run our cars.

There is no safety equipment required to run. You will need your driving license, MOT and insurance certificate. More details of rules and procedure in the website link.

The track is a proper strip that they glue, so weather plays a vital role in a successful day. If it is raining when you wake up and it is forecast to continue, then it probably isn't worth going!

I know Pandamonius Maximus, Panda Van and myself lewey will be going, but thought this would help to formalise things for anyone on the fence as to whether to pop along. There are no formal arrangements for meeting up and no food and drink will be laid on, etc.

There may be a boobie prize for anyone unable to beat the 20 second barrier!

Prices: £12 entry, £20 extra to run as many times as you like.

Aha! I love that first statement.

Its what I live by :D

Also, although I wouldnt mind some boobies....I wont be breaking any 20 second barriers! Touch and go if I get it under 25 I think!! We need to get some 750's in here quick :p

:ROFLMAO:

I may be up for this, see how the 1108 engine would perform :chin:

yes, we could have the whole engine range in pandas

Lets see we need a:

850 air cooled
903 (someone with a dance maybe or a mk1 2wd)
965cc 4x4
750 fire
999cc fire (4x4 and 2wd)
1108 fire (4x4 and 2wd)
1242cc fire (4x4 and 2wd)
1.4 (not sure the exact size sorry )

Would be good. You still interested? You don't have to supply the boobies for the boobie prize BTW. ;)

Are you supplying the boobies?

My prediction is 23s for mine because I'm feeling pessimistic (or maybe optimistic, but I hope not )

Lewey, I reckon you'll be in the 15-16's

Cheerio,
Si

PS do I get more boobs if I get these wrong too? Or just bigger?

I was at the drag strip this weekend just gone for a run what y' brung, most excelent weekend track temps of 100 degrees!! Uploaded some pics on my site - cant wait for the panda's to strut their stuff on the track:D

Not sure about 15s. Been looking around for similar vehicles and a good lightly modded 106 Rallye will do late 15s. They have short gearing and aero in favour. I'll do my best though!
