If you've fitted as many Stilo ones as Mk2 Punto ones then fair enough, but it's weird how you hear of so many more Mk2 Punto ones failing than Stilo ones (even accounting for the huge sales difference). I said the Grande Punto has problems with the power steering so i dunno what you were trying to get at by saying it has 'issues with torque/position sensors as much as any other column'![]()
T will back me up on the Stilo PAS failures (not something you forget as they weigh a ton!). Difficult to judge new Bravo's yet, but we did change a few while I was there.
I mentioned GP's as you suggested the Delphi 2 version had upgraded motor, whereas it's more likely it was extras included for ESP (steering angle sensor) and software/hardware chages for the later Bosch ESP system where the PAS loads-up to suggest the steering input needed to correct a slide.
