General Cinquecento engine numbers

Hi everyone,

im new hopefully buying my Cinquecento sporting tomorrow, however i need to find out where the engine numbers are, ive tried searching the forum but found nothing so any help would be much appreciated,

hi welcome to the forum. pete posted the info ur after in the engine swap thread, so instead of trying to write it again.. il just quote it

Look for the engine codes which are dot stamped on the top of the water pump housing. You may need some emery cloth or similar to clean the face up in order to read them - you're looking at the flat horizontal piece on the left front of the engine (looking from the exhaust side) just above the water tube, next to the cam belt cover.

code should be: 176.B2.000
