Technical Cinq Sporting Performance Chip

Technical Cinq Sporting Performance Chip

Hi all,

Is it my understanding that there is still demand for the McKritch chip? I would be able to supply them, I mean the exact same chip, but I would need one to copy. This is not entirely ethic (and I do know how much work it is to make up a decent map), but since he does not sell them anymore (and gazzaman also seems to have vanished) and there is demand I do not see any other way to do it. I will respect his work though, that is never claim it was mine (or perhaps I could even add some imporovements or costom modifications, but still fully crediting his work).

What do you all think?

The map wasn't his either, according to his PM to me. If recall correctly he said that it was created by someone in Poland.

He, like you, was able to make copies, thereby making available someone's good (but unavailable?) work.

I'd like mine re-mapped as I have some different (better?) parts on this engine. But I'm told the process is difficult and expensive as the chip has to be removed and read, then the laptop PC connected to the engine, mapping done on that, then written to the chip which is then removed from the writer and refitted to the engine.

A C&B camshaft was for sale recently, but I left it due to the problem with the re-mapping that most likely would be needed to get the best from it.

Indeed it says last activity 3 days ago, so he is around here, I will pm him or wait for him showing up here. And tag him mckcrich, so that he knows we are talking here ;)

(Why was I then under the impression that he has vanished?)

I'm still around and selling the chips. Just to correct some mistaken? advice. My map an program are based on a map that came from a site in Poland, but they are copyright and as such protected IP. Gazzaman assured me and I believe him that he obtained his source map from the same place and with the same permissions. If you copy my chip you are breaking the law and depriving me from income from the chips. If you have the source maps you still need to work our how and where to place it on the chip. Its not as easy as you think.

I don't make much money out of this and given that when I first produced the chip for under £50 the only competition was over £250 I think I have been very fair with Fiat owners. Just to be clear I do not give you permission to copy my chips!

One further point is that I also produce coded chips that keep the immobiliser working ( these are specific to certain model years) but I have now decoded all the variants.
If you want details or want to buy a chip pm me or email [email protected]

Hi Michael,

Thanks for clearing that up. I never meant to get in your way, hence I posted my message instead of just going about my way. My intention was not to make any or much profit, only I was under the impression that your chips are impossible to get and wanted to fill this void for FF-ers. (I guess this was because there was a period of time when people complained they could get hold of you). Can you cure my curiosity and tell me who the author of the map is (PM of course if at all)? Hmm, and :D, no for me finding the right places to put the maps in is not a problem, trust me.

Cheers

so are these still for sale ?if so how much and do you sell on the likes of ebay with paypal ? thanks

Hi, Chips are still available -full details below.

Full details:
I produce a chip for the Fiat 1108 and 1242 "fire" engines with single point injection (spi) using the Magnetti Marelli IAW 16F series ECU. ie, Cinquecento and Seicento (mk 1) Sportings and Punto 55 and 60s. Search on the cinq forum and you will see plenty of posts from very happy customers.

These are the most used threads.

https://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento...velopment.html
https://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento...requested.html

The power/torque statistics are in the first link and the power/torque graphs are here: (these are for the 1108 Engine) http://www.crich.plus.com/index.html . The chip will work fine with an induction kit and a bigger exhaust. most people have these mods. The chip is fairly easy to fit, the fitting instructions are here: https://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento...-ecu-chip.html

These are the options:
The "Universal Chip" which disables the immobiliser these can be fitted to any 1108 or 1242 spi fire engine. These are £55.

The "Specific Chip" for Cinquecento and Seicento only, these keep the immobiliser active and are coded to the specific model range. These are £65. I need the code printed on the label on the original chip inside the ECU. If you let me have your email address I will send you instructions to remove and open up the ECU.

This is how to pay.
You can pay direct into my account at Nationwide (if you have internet banking or at a bank counter) Normally takes a couple of working days to reach my account - email or PM me for the details.

or pay by instantly by credit/debit card through Paypal by sending to [email protected] (go to www.paypal.co.uk )

Don't forget that I need your address to send the chip

Regards,

Regards,
I know this is a dead thread that has just reappeared, but you still making these chips?

I had one fitted to mine before doing my 16v swap and recommend this.
It’s a noticeable upgrade for a reasonable price. Got rid of the flat spots on mine.

Could you please re-upload the fitting instructions
Thanks
