Hi all,
Im in need of some help with modifications to the engine and exterior of the car. At the minute the car is running with the standard 1108cc engine(54bhp), and id like some tips and info for what i could do to improve the engine.

Because the car is so old id imagine that the bhp is alot lower than the origina that it used to be.i haven't got the best job in the world so im stuck to a budget to mod the car, if anyone could help with ideas or tips then please send me a message or reply to the thread

What money you looking at spending then? Could do a 1.4 16v conversion, that you be best, won't set the world of fire doing much to your 1108cc lump.

i was thinking more throttle bodies and straight through pipes?

What do your underwriters say, they are the first point of contact.

For simple power a 16V upgrade is the way to go, you fit a standard engine that can be bought cheaply and gives heaps more power and more importantly, better drivability than a tweaked 1108 8 valve.

ITBs will cost you an arm and a leg -- even if you adapt bike ones you'll need aftermarket management.

the torque increase will improve acceleration
