I have an early 2000s seicento sporting, and when it rains my driver side front footwell fills up with water. I've ruled out it being a problem with the sunroof, window seals, windscreen seal, or door seals. It happens when the car is parked up overnight in the rain, so it's not coming up from road spray.

It appears to be coming in somewhere under the dashboard, possible through the heating/cooling duct or around the pedals. I'm not sure if it is coming in on the left or right hand side.

Where should I look for a stuck intake cover or similar that's letting in water, or a drain that's blocked?

It's right hand drive.

Model
Seicento Sporting, Fire 1.1
Probably it will be full of leafs and small derbis under the evaporator unit, under heavy rain the water that runs through the grills may not have enough room to run away and enters from the hole that passes the heater unit and controls.

It'll probably be the sunroof drains that are blocked, they have 3 drainage holes each side along the edge of the floor/sill

How would this get into the footwell?

It's not coming in through the sunroof itself, I replaced the seals and the seat was dry.

On a Seicento with a sunroof in the recess where the sunroof sits when it is fully closed there are 2 small drainage holes which when it rains water goes around the sunroof & down the drainage holes via tubes to the floor, these are the drain tubes that run down to the drainage holes on the floor, the issue won't be the sunroof end what happens is they get blocked up on the floor end with crud/mud from the road etc it's got no way of draining out hence the water in the foot well like you are experiencing, it's very common on the Cento's with sunroofs fitted, just get something small enough to poke through the drainage holes on the edge of the floor which will unblock them & water should pour out of them, it's usually said that this should be done at least once a year

I sealed the sunroof up completely.

Do you have a picture or diagram?

Do you have a picture of where the holes are on the underside of the vehicle, I can't find them.

The water seems to be coming up underneath the carpet in the foot well, so presumably it's filling up the underside and welling up from there?
