Interface lead on eBay only £5.99 + £2.21 postage (total £8.20). I ordered one and it was here within a week from Hong Kong. Connects USB to OBD2 socket on the car. Runs with free software from FiatECUScan.net. Check out FiatECUScan.net for models covered (Fiat/Alfa/Lancia).
Lead supplied with FTDi drivers on a mini CD (needs drivers because it has a built-in USB to serial virtual port). Two minutes to install drivers then away you go. The FiatECUScan programme doesn't need to be installed,it just runs on demand. There is information on FiatECUScan.net to modify the device so that it can talk to other controllers such as airbags and power steering but I haven't tried that yet (need to link some pins and maybe cut a wire and fit a switch).
