After quite some time of being trouble free, my Stilo has developed a problem..
Drivers door wouldn't shut - it would just bounce back open again.
After realising changing it required lots of disassembly of the electric window etc, and being short on time at the moment, I took it to the mechanic, who got it closing again (just) by cleaning it out and lubricating it. However it doesn't close properly, and can't be locked because it's not latched fully.
New part from Fiat is £165.95 plus vat, so around £200! Luckily I've managed to get one from a breakers...
However, my question is:
As it has a 10 pin connector on it, so looks fairly "intelligent", will it just work, or will the central locking want relearning etc.
The other question being.. does the window glass really need to be removed to get the inner door skin off?!
