Hi, I'm new here. I've done a quick search and found there is no Haynes manual for the Stilo and there doesn't seem to be this question on here either.

One of the windscreen washer jet nozzles on my Stilo has broken (squirting out sideways). The local Fiat garage told me it was easiest (and cheapest) to replace them myself. I have the two new nozzles and it looks like they should be a push-fit into the hoses.

I'm very non-technical when it comes to cars.

Looking inside the bonnet I see there is some kind of covering (heat insulator I guess) which covers the whole of the underside of the bonnet and has studs holding it in.

I have cautiously tried to pull this by a stud to see if it is a popper that will come off but it seems to be pretty firmly attached and I'm worried that pulling it will break the stud and prevent me putting it back on without getting more spares (i.e. spare studs).

How does one remove that cover to access the nozzles and replace them?

Or if it is a whole lot simpler than that... how does one replace the nozzles in the bonnet?

It would be great to get it fixed!

Thanks. That was what I was hoping would be the answer. I knew if I just pulled it then it would break and I'd have a problem. I figured it was better to ask and check before damaging anything!

The fixings will proabably break on removal. They are pence from a FIAT dealer. Incidentally I've recently swapped my washers for those fitted to the (new) Bravo. A straight swap, not cheap but give a 'mist' style spray pattern, rather than the discrete jets of the original.

Got mist ones on mine. Not from the Bravo, but £5.99 a pair from local motor factors :)
