It's just a thought, as my Ducato is a totally different model, but I had the engine light ( K-light) come on in my Xantia, the motor cut out and I had to make an emergency dive for the hard-shoulder. After a few mins it started up and continued to run OK, after a couple of days the K-light stayed off, all was well till yesterday when it came on again, same thing, wait, start continue, next start lamp was off.
I am wondering if it has anything to du with not having corrected the service interval computer which has been on 0000 miles for about 2000 miles.
Otherwise it may be a loose connection, you may have inadvertantly knocked a connector when moving something else?

Hope you find it Doorman

This morning i thought i would have to drive 200 miles and pay loads of money to find out why my check engine light is on because "only dealers have the equipment".:(
Now i have ordered the interface and software for £24 off ebay .Feel much better now:)

Ok, if you scroll to the bottom of this page theres 'similar threads' the one at the bottom from 'moneypenny' seems similar to your problem, what is the generic name for the equipment you bought from e-bay?.

We are at our summer house in Vansbro Sweden and it is a long way to a Fiat Dealer.Should have bought a Volvo based MH!

Fixed it!It seems using the "mark the belt and pulleys and copy the marks to the new belt" method can cause problems especially if you have a solid cam gear not the adjustable kind shown in the russek manual. If after turning the engine over the required number of times the timing is not matching up exactly then you have to start again and move the belt one tooth in the required direction on the cam gear and the repeat the tensioning!:)
