Garage found a broken wire on ABS loom no computer says wrong wheel sensor installed, the sensor i got from Dingbro, garage say it needs to be genuine Fiat part anyone fitted a non fiat sensor and it worked ??

As long as a reaonable brand and listed for your vehicle I don't see why not.
I have fitted many ABS sensors, none genuine. However some vehicles have a choice of two depending on the braking system etc.

Theres no need to fit a genuine part. Who fitted the sensor? Perhaps they made a mistake.

Is the in-hub reluctor ring OK?

I have also had a break in the wiring from the ABS sensor to the the ABS computer/pump under the bonnet on a Skoda, quite common on VAG Group as they supply a wiring kit, of course on my Skoda Scout 4x4 it was further into the loom.
