Thanks for swift reply.Questions for you.
Was the battery connected during the 6 months?
Did you turn the ignition on and observe the dial prior to starting?
Did the vehicle start promptly?
Any other lights come on after starting or staying on?
Have you let the engine warm up and if so have you switched off and restarted?
What was the outside temperature?
Did the yellow 29 come on?
Ok. My 2008 500 with outside air about freezing runs through ASR and hill start not available among others. After starting nr 29 remains on.
Car drives normally. When the engine oil temp reaches mid point if I turn off and same restart steps all is normal and no warning messages or triangle.
So maybe just an old vehicle left standing in the cold needs a patient turn back to life.
You could disconnect the battery, have a café and restart, making sure you pause between ignition on and start
Regards.
Don't have the equipment for that. If fault persists I will go to garageSorry, just another thing. Have you scanned for error codes?
If it is traction related did it come on after you tried to move the vehicle, if so possibly rust or similar on ABS sensor/rotors?
You may have noted I go to bed early, but get up fairly early also, so Good Morning to you also.Good morning,
Could be that light came on after I moved the car out of garage. But not sure. Car does not have abs as far as I know.
I have the feeling that ABS was fitted as standard to the x250 (2006 onwards) models. Certainly the Fiat Training Manual mentions a Bosch 8.0 system, without any suggestion that it was optional.Good morning,

OP only mentioned number 21 on his screen which showed a skidding wheel.Anti wheel spin (ASR) and Anti lock brake (ABS) are different. See above 8 and 21.
ASR can be turned off which means more fun or bum clenching. My 500 has a dashboard button as standard.
I would be happy to be corrected, but in my understanding ASR is implemented via an ABS fitted with extra valves for the specific purpose.Anti wheel spin (ASR) and Anti lock brake (ABS) are different. See above 8 and 21.

Raining in sunny Devon as well.Confirmed this morning. 7c driving (ha ha) rain.
Car started first time, no warning lights or ASR led.
Driving 5 miles, wind, rain and flooding road. No issues.
Douvet day.
Goede de morning all who did respond,
While switching contact on, not starting, light was on. After starting light when off. Drove voor about half an hour with no problem. Pushing the ASR button on the dashboard light went on again. So, I think, sensors and ASR system is working fine. And yes indeed the car does have abs. It stupid that after 7 years of ownership still. It not know which alarms, which sensors etc. prefer a simple analogue car. Hope for the best now. Thanks again.
