hey guys, my C/L was only working on the passenger door and boot, BUT when i removed the door card, found that the drivers motor was disconnected, i've re-connected the wiring loom, all works fine (UNlocks the car) yet when i hit the button to lock it locks then unlocks again, IF i turn the key in the door it locks fully,

what does this sound like? might get to the point where i considder swapping the locks over (passenger to driver and vice versa if it will work)

Possible causes are the boot switch not working properly ie light not going off when closed or a bit of stiffness in the mechanical linkages of the door making the motor give up.

Update, it started to lock, then put door card back on only for it to stop working again, motor sounds tiredd

No difference with the key, left the car overnight and it unlocked fine, got to work and it locked fine too, thinking now that it might just be playing games lol

its sounds like driver door is dying with a weak door actuator

its cheap to get one from a scrappy abd fit it diy

mine used to unlock the lock on driver door and it was the driveractuator olaying up

ziggy

to be honest with nicky9 being able to make up wiring looms and fit them you would think doiing basic drop tests of solenoid actuators would be a walk in da park:confused:
