Hi all,
I have today found out that I have 5 Disc multichanger in the car. I have had the car 9 months and could not find it :bang: Go on have a good laugh at me :)
Anyway it does not seem to be working right. There is a CD that seems to be stuck in slot 5. I switched to the CD mode (I know it should have clicked) It selects disc 1 and won't let me change it with the CD+ and - buttons. After some random pressing I managed to get it to skip to CD3. It would not change again so I put a CD in slot 3 and it jumped back to CD1. I think it may require unlocking as it will not eject any of the CD's. Any advice would be helpful. As you can tell I am not technically mined so please keep your answers simple ;)

BTW it is a 1.6 Stilo Aircon Multiwagon

Need more info like
(1) do you get an error message on your head unit?
(2) and if so what?
(3) what head unit you got fitted OEM or aftermarket?
(4) do the buttons on the CDC flash ?
(5) does the CDC ask for a code?

answers to these questions will let us diagnose the problem better (y)

Thanks for the response but I have managed to resolve the issue. I removed the unit and opened it up. There was a broken cd Lodged inside. Removed it and replaced and it all works fine now

It's not exactly hidden. If you have the CD Changer, it will be in the upper glovebox on the passenger side. Several people have had a Stilo for many months and not realised that there was an upper and lower glovebox.

If you have air-conditioning, the upper glovebox can be cooled by sliding the switch in the top left of it.

There was a thread several years ago titled something like; The things you never knew your Stilo had or did. Can't find it now though.

I have aproblem with mine too,I got the car without a stereo in but did have the changer and lead in the glove box.Anyway i purchased an original stereo and connected it up but nothing happens and when i press source i only get tape or tuner.

Im sure i have connected it up right as i pushed the yellow connector into the only section on the stereo it would fit.

Does it have to be turned on somehow??

The CD changer should be a blue connector like the one in the picture below but without the round DIN plug.

Also, to match up with, and be controlled by, a Fiat original radio, the CD changer has to be the Fiat specific version of the Blaupunkt IDC-A09. Part number 7 607 769 150.

All Blaupunkt IDC-A09s look like the one below, but 150 at the end of the part number denotes the Fiat version.

Ah apologies yes it is a blue connector,So my cd changer has to be of a certain model number??.Ie a matched pair??

Ill see if i can find some pins to pull them out and look at the numbers.

Yes... there's software in the Fiat version that enables it to communicate with a Fiat HU. Someone fitted the generic version of the IDC-A09 (part number ending with 100) to a Stilo but I think it would only play a CD by pressing one of the five buttons on the changer and the forward/reverse buttons, to change track, on the HU had no effect.

i just took the cd player out and it wasnt plugged in and also looks like the top cover is missing.

the only numbers i could find on it were

295 14 25 05 3

7290 020045

on the side of the cd multi player there will be a set of numbers that begin with M like M001654 you the need to make a donation to the forum and then post it in the ICE part of the forum and some body there will help you with the code

I don't recognise any of the numbers you've posted. If it's a Blaupunkt CD changer, there will be a serial number stamped into the side of it beginning with BP then 12 numbers. If you post the serial number, I may be able to get the code for you.
