Technical CD changer position

Hi All,
Where is the usual mounting position for a factory fitted CD changer unit in the Weekend. Is the connecting cable fitted as standard?

Hi, Mine isnt factory fitted, but its a 2.ol 20v hlx. The lead wasn't fitted, so I had to buy one. the cd changer I have tucked under the front passenger seat for ease of access...

Hi

We have a 2.4 HLX weekender and have fitted the cd changer under the backseats. Some models have the wiring harness already fitted but with most you will have to run the cable yourself.

The cable was only fitted on the first run of vehicles, before they realised they could save tuppence ha'penny by leaving them out.
Unit is either behind a side panel in the back or under the rear seats.

i have mine placed in the trunk in the bag. There is a smal compartment to the right (and to the left).. its a 8 cd changer and fits fine there..
