Re: Castle Combe Action Day - 18th of April 2009

yeah, the rest come from CC, fiatboo and FCCUK :)

thats not the same as going out in 1 session everyone at same time. with a guaranteed hard standing for a stand so no mud + other special perks lined up ;)

i mean more fiats from ff the c2 lot and 206 lot have far less members than us but a lot more people put their names down an got there deposits in already

Re: Castle Combe Action Day - 18th of April 2009

if we meet up in morissons there will be hundreds of cars there who are attending the event, just need to get people to look out for the bunch of fiats :D

Dave - errr.... there are no and i really mean no hard stands at combe, its all grass. (unless we park up behind merlin motorsport out of the way of the show :p)

Anyone mind if a cinq. driving newbie comes along from Stroud, Glos? Not sure about track time yet tho...how much is it on the day? (sorry if this has already been explained).(y)

i'm sure that'll be fine, took my old tipo round at that wasn't much faster than a Cinq sporting, but you have to be carefull and keep your eyes on your mirrors, still fun though. track time on the day is around £45ish? if you book in advance it's much cheaper.

if my car passes the MoT straightforward enough this week i'll probably put my name done for some track time maybe..

you'll be okay, as said just watch your mirrors and if you see cars steaming up behind you stick to the left of the track.

if someone is right behind you and you want to let them pass move to the left and indicate left to show them to pass :)

you wont get in the same session if you don't get your name down soon, insurance wont cover you for racing, this is why it is safer to all go out in this one group who will all be briefed briefed and double briefed. not out in a group with some dick in his dads m3 who will roll it and take the rest of the cars out with him

thats fair enough so basicly if i was to check with insurance and they say no im gonna be uninsured, its not the insurance im too worried about it'll be matter of driving experiance:eek:

if your really lucky your insurance might cover you for a track day, or maybe at little extra cost.

additional insurance is about £40/day last time i looked but its not compulsory.
