Dear all,
I how a Bravo 105 JTD and recently scoped the market in order to repower my car.
I searched for several solutions and I was presented with a cheap "magic box" that could increase up to 20 hp on the engine power.
Such device is installed between the rail pressure sensor and the ECU and it simply gives false sensor readings to the ECU (it will increase fuel pressure at the end of the process).
The sensor has three wires that are supply (positive), ground (negative) and signal (feedback for the ECM/ECU).
The "magic box" simply ignores the signal and sends a fake feedback to the ECU. The pump is all the time at high position, which will promote premature wear.
Besides of wear, increasing the rail pressure will force a larger amount of fuel into the cylinders and increase the thermal load.
You will find out that your inlet manifold will show more debris in the end of the day.
Remapiping the ECU is safer and more effective.
Has anyone got an electric schematic for Bravo JTD 105, which includes ECU (Bosch EDC15C5)and MAF (massic air flow meter) pinout?
My aim is to reprogram the ECU and play some tricks with the EGR and MAF.
If anyone tried this before, I would like to hear about their feedback.
Thanks
