General Can you fit a single mattress into a Panda?

can you fit one into a mark 3 panda?

I want to convert my panda for sleeping in. I don't have money for a camper at the moment and would be quite content with a "tin tent". When I needed a rest on a long journey I kipped in the front passenger seat with the back fully reclined. I would prefer upgrading from seat to mattress of some kind. I'm thinking a "zed bed" which I can lay over the front passenger seat for more support, and fold when not in use. Is this too ambitious for the size of car? I hope not. It's a cosy little thing and I'd like to get the most use out of it.

My brother builds campers and has his own company specialising in conversions,

Mini recently built a 1 birth camper based on the clubvan, and the way they did it was to remove the passenger seat and build a narrow bed down one side of the vehicle, drivers seat at the front then cupboards and things down the drivers side, worked really well and looks good

This is the sort of route id suggest you take, but you'd need to remove all but the drivers seat so no more passengers




If you don't want to go down that route the next best thing is to build your self a micro caravan/teardrop camper

When I last moved house I got a sofa and various other things after an IKEA trip, in the back of my Active.

Admittedly, it was a two seater, tailgate was open but secured with a tow rope, the driver's seat was all the way forward and I found it more comfortable to have my left foot on the accelerator........ But I made it

Depends upon their weight and your license restrictions vs the towing capability of the tow car.

Depends on when you passed your test but essentially everyone with a car license can tow a trailer up to 750kg or heavier as long as the total weight doesn't exceed 3500kg, given that the panda's maximum towing weight is about 800kg you should be fine
