Thought of sharing my experience with all the Bravo owners, especially the HGT owners. As we all know replacing cambelt is a pain in the neck for HGT, to save me money, I went off to change it at Power Fiat about 2 weeks ago, mind you, it was more than 40 miles away from where I live. Guess what, the nightmare of all car owners happened yesterday morning as I was on my way to work, the cambelt snapped! I thought I will have a peace of mind after changing it but nevertheless the nightmare has just begun! Luckily, my saviour (the AA) came not too long later and towed the car back to PowerFiat, another 40 miles journey. After inspected by Rog, he suspected it's the water pump failure, got jammed and stretched the cambelt to cause it to snap. He has no idea what caused the water pump to jam as he replaced a new one for me last time! The valves in the engine need replacing now and I have to leave the car with them for 3 days. All the inconvenience, hassle and cost involved! It took me 2.5 hours to travel back to my home by train yeaterday and I have to do that again on Saturday to collect the car! I wonder has anyone suffered the same unfortunate fate like me? I wonder if I can be reimbursed all the extra travel expenses by PowerFiat?
