My 1.4 Easy+ is just coming up to 5 years old but has only done 15000 miles. What would anyone advise about the need for a cambelt change at the service due next month? Thank you.

My advice..regarding all cambelts :
The belts degrade through age
The waterpump wears through use and coolant quality
THE BEARINGS.. can wear AND age
In low mileage campervans .. its often a failing bearing that takes out the belt.. and wrecks the engine
My 500 is getting a new pump and bearings alongside the belt and coolant
Its 5 years old in the summer.. and I am hoping for another 5.
If you are looking at offloading in a year.. you may well be lucky..
BUT if you do it now.. thats another 5 years without worry
DO SHOP AROUND... prices vary massively
