Hi All,
My Marea weekend JTD105 1.9 is comming up for a belt change, is there a guide for DIY? or is it the same proceedure as shown for the 20v engine?

Anyone in Scotland know of a good reasonable place to get it done?

Regards
Tom

The cambelt change on the JTD105 is nothing like the 2.0 version. I.e the cambelt change on the JTD105 will be approx £150 - £180 (includes new tensioners for cambelt and aux belt, cambelt and aux belt). On a 2.0 it'll be approx £400 - £800. Only the 2.0 requires an either engine out job or undo the engine mounts and push the engine aside to do the belt change.

Thanks! great news!
Would it be an easy DIY job then?
Any other parts I should change at the same time? water pump?
regards
Tom

diy possible

yes water pump (not expensive QH at motor factor)

i can email work shop manual for job
but need some special tools for locking also avail for loan

Hi,
Yes! I would really appreciate the section on how to do the job.
Reasonable garages for this job seem to be thin on the ground up here (West Lothian).
Are there any particular Belt kits I should look for? or just buy straight from the dealer parts?
regards
Tom
