Re: stop and start recalled

As said above, many recalls are not safety related- many are to correct issues that affect the use of the vehicle or simple manufacturing faults, eg- there has been a small recall on the 500 for incorrect chassis indentification plates, incorrect operation of the air recirc button, and Blue & Me software.

Hardly 'safety' related, are they?. ;)

Re: stop and start recalled

so why start another thread:confused:
So they can kick up a fuss. Some people like to kick up a fuss about what is compared to other issues something fairly minor which was always going to get sorted with a software update.

Has anyone seen the new post on first page regarding dealers contacting ss owners for them to bring their cars back in to correct faults? If so do you know if it's an update on the original software update? I've had the first and still have problems so just wondering. cheers

Re: stop and start recalled

I've posted on the other thread also. Does anyone know if this is an improved update of the original software fix? I've had the first and still have problems.

cheers

Re: stop and start recalled

because its important and needs one!
Wtf?

If you'd posted it in the other thread EVERY person who'd posted in that thread (meaning the 6 people who had issues with their S&S) would have got a notification that there was a new post and would have seen your post. The way you've done it people have to actively come on the forum and look.

Can I get an

no one is kicking up a fuss- except you.

its an issue affecting the 500, its a new version and the whole issue has been talked about and communicated through here.

no moaning. no fuss.

I started another thread for 2 reasons:

1. The first thread was a bit of a rant by me, and became a pointless flaming match (started by...). I was hoping that little episode would die and never be dragged up again. Oh well.

2. This post was started as a poll, to eastablish the scale of the s'n's problem, which I tried to keep as objective as possible. A fresh start, if you will, to try and resolve the issue at hand.

As far as I am aware the purpose of forums is to allow people to express their opinions, and gather information, in an informal way. This entitles people to ask questions, and express their own dissapointment when experienced, in an honest and [hopefully] respectful manner.

I suggest that if you want to start a fight, you get yourself a punch bag or go on Total Wipeout. :bang:

Jim :) I actually think your thread had a point, you had the poll there and it did show some worrying statistics. But the other thread started by Keeforelli was to announce stiuff which was entirely relevant to the people on both the other threads.

I do apologise if you think I'm spoiling for a fight but I don't see any problem with what you've done.

Which post is this? i can't seem to find it...

It's the new thread Keeforelli posted for some reason when it could have just been tacked onto this thread where everyone would have seen it.

It's now been amalgamated into this thread which is far more useful

Oh well, it's easily done. Ironically, for some reason email notifications don't work for me anymore (they just stopped one day), so a seperate thread would've caught my attention better than posting in this thread. D'oh! :bang:

Still, makes sense to put related stuff in one post, I guess...

Favourite emoticon of the day: :bang:

No worries. We're golden. (y)

So, this "recall"...

Are the dealers saying that they've got a fix for the two lights issue specifically?

We've not had a call from our dealer yet. Wondering if they think the thing they did last week fixed it, as we haven't been back there since. Thinking perhaps I should call them up and let them know we've still got the issue.
