Technical Stop start problems

Hi everyone. Newbie here . Just bought a fiat 500 dolce vita 23 UK plate and having a few issues. First of all female and a unsure 0f all the new fandangled buttons etc . How do I know if stop start is activated . See people saying it looks like a S button but I can't see anything like that ..where is it...2 : how do I know if my soft hybrid is working ..for the record the car only has 450 miles on it . Help please ..I think the car has to be in neutral to activate stop start ..

At only 450 miles and possibly sitting unused for months I'm not surprised it maynot work, also driving style hugely effects it, drive an hour a day morning and evening it should work fine, 15 mins either way I doubt it will ever work

Stop start is already activated, there's no 'S' button on the dash unlike some older models.

Once the engine is warmed after driving, selecting neutral and clutch up, when stationary, should switch the engine off, assuming the battery is healthy. It will restart upon preparing the car to set off again by clutch down
