I want to paint my front calipers but i'm unsure what colour to use. Keeping in mind that my stilo is Imola yellow would you guys suggest i go for red or for yellow (keep in mind that i'm looking for something smart and not too extravagant!!)

Thanks (y)

In that case go for blended yellow or silver grey

I've decided to go for red and bought the hammerite smooth that some of you guys have used but as it doesn't say anything abuout being resistant to high temperatures i wanted to make sure that i've bought the right stuff, here is a photo of the tin i bought;

Att. Nikos_GR: What Brembo kit have you fitted to your Stilo?
What size are the discs?
I 've got 305mm dia discs and 4piston calipers. They look a bit small but this is because the rim is 18"... This is the standard kit from Brembo for all Stilo models. If you want a larger disc, you have to make few "patents"... :) As about how the car stops now, if you brake hard, you think that the wheels will stay still and you and your seat will go off the windscreen! ;)

Exactly the same paint that I used in the first instance - the n I changed to Hammerite Hammered Silver Grey. No heat problems from either so you should be okay mate. :D

Well, it's done; I decided for red and i think it looks great. Painting the calipers actually makes the brakes look bigger because it makea you look less at the discs and mora at the calipers which look larger.
The claw alloys are also new; i had been hunting for some for a while but it's almost imposible to get them in spain anywhere other than Fiat, i was almost able to buy them off Mike Norton who made it all very easy (thanks Mike!!) but in the end wasn't able to go to England to collect them. Anywhay, in the end got them from fiat at a painful 630 euros....
Anyhow, here are the photo's;
